Singapore’s most popular EV brand isn’t resting on its laurels. To gain even further market share, the Chinese automaker, and its local dealer-partners, have launched a more affordable version of its popular Seal saloon.
This new variant, dubbed the ‘Seal Dynamic 100kW’, is eligible for Category A COE, which should make it more affordable than the current Category B cars. It will now serve as the base model of the Seal line-up, replacing the previous Category B ‘Dynamic’ model.

Output is the only thing that has changed; the cars are otherwise identical to the previous ‘Dynamic’ variant models. This means the same 61.44 kWh battery, and an unaltered 310 Nm of torque. Expect the car to do up to 460 kilometres of range on a single charge.
BYD also took the opportunity to kick off its 100-Hour Sales Marathon. Buyers can enjoy exclusive discounts regardless of the BYD car that they choose to buy. Offers include further price reductions and other perks worth up to $20,000. The Category A Seal has the most attractive offer of them all, at up to $33,000 off.

The promotion is valid till the 30th of June. If you are interested in purchasing a new BYD car to take advantage of this offer, do pay a visit to one of BYD’s many showrooms or restaurants dotted across the island.
At the time of publishing, the Category A BYD Seal will cost you $169,888 including COE.
