Daihatsu is set to showcase its UNIFORM Concept Kei Truck and Van at the Tokyo Mobility Show. It will share stage space with three other concept vehicles, including the Vision Copen Concept.
The UNIFORM vehicles are designed to be compact commercial vehicles, which are highly versatile and easy-to-use. In keeping with the times, the two LCVs will be electric, and come with V2L functionality.

This would allow it to be used in a wider range of applications, such as for a mobile shop. A regularly-shaped loading area makes carrying cargo easy, whilst also ensuring clients can thoroughly clean out the interior without much fuss.
Removable (or to be more accurate, hot-swappable) interior and exterior panels further enhance the UNIFORM’s versatility. Both the Truck and Cargo variants fall neatly into Japanese Kei Car regulations, with identical lengths and widths. The Truck variant is shorter and has a more compact wheelbase.

Whilst both vehicles aren’t far off being production-ready, Daihatsu has not announced any plans to offer the UNIFORM vehicles for sale at the moment. If you happen to be in Japan later in October, you’d be able to catch both UNIFORM variants will be on display at the upcoming Tokyo Mobility Show!
