The Opel Combo-e Life was originally unveiled in Singapore earlier this year. And one of Singapore’s most affordable electric MPVs is set to get even better, as Opel has just launched the Combo-e Life’s first facelift.
As part of its mid-cycle update, the car now wears the signature Opel Vizor, a sleek front design that gives the vehicle a contemporary look while enhancing its road presence. These enhancements aren’t strictly cosmetic, as the new headlight clusters come with Intelli-Lux LED technology, which utilises 14 individually controllable LED segments for optimal visibility without dazzling oncoming drivers.
The car is largely the same mechanically, though minor tweaks have resulted in a not-insignificant bump in range – Opel claims the car would now do up to 354 kilometres on a single charge, up from the 293 kilometres of the original Combo-e Life.
One major difference is to its charge systems. It now comes equipped with DC 100kW charging capabilities, which means you’d be able to go from 0 – 80% in just 30 minutes. Other alterations are the inclusion of a new 10-inch infotainment screen, as well as a digital cluster. These updates help it to further separate itself from its commercial vehicle sibling.
Interested buyers can now sample the car for themselves at Opel Singapore. Prices start from $175,500 (based on December’s 2nd COE Bidding), making it one of the more affordable EV MPV options on the market right now.
