The Mercedes-Benz GLA that was originally launched in Singapore back in 2020 has now received its mid-life refresh.

As you’d expect from a facelift, the car has received a cosmetic upgrade, as well as improvements to the overall trim and equipment levels. Customers will be able to purchase two variants at launch – GLA 180 Progressive Line and Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC.

Exterior Changes

The visual enhancements start up front, with revisions made to the cars’ front fascias. The GLA 180 has a new radiator grille with vertical louvres and horizontal fin, complementing the changes the German manufacturer has made to the front bumper. AMG has also worked their magic with the GLA 35 4MATIC, with a newly styled front apron with AMG logo and light signatures at the front and rear make a strong visual statement.

Both cars will also receive LED headlights as part of the standard equipment list.

You’ll also find new wheel options on both variants of the GLA. In the basic trim, the new GLA 180 stands on 18-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels, with optional 18- to 20-inch wheels available. New light-alloy wheels are available for all Mercedes-AMG GLA, including two 20-inch AMG wheels in a five double spoke design and two 21-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels.

Cabin Enhancements

In the cabin, the standard car will come with ARTICO leather comfort seats fitted as standard. Buyers can option their car in the trendy sage grey colour. Meanwhile, the Progressive equipment variant offers three interior colours: black, macchiato beige and sage grey.

The GLA 35 will come with either the sports seats or the optional AMG performance seats. As you’d expect, there are AMG-specific trim items in the cabin, such as the AMG Performance steering wheel.

Latest Version of MBUX

The free-standing double screen is one of the highlights of the significantly upgraded interior and it includes two 10.25-inch wide-screen displays as standard for the instrument cluster and multimedia screen respectively.

It also offers a holistic high-tech experience and enhances the open-plan architecture, and the steering wheel of the current generation is upholstered in leather as standard. with a new feature to connect wirelessly with smartphones via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The optional Burmester® surround sound system, in conjunction with the latest MBUX generation, now features the immersive Dolby Atmos audio experience available for the Mercedes-AMG models, which gives music more space, clarity and depth. In addition, the Dolby Atmos adapts to any playback environment, meaning fans can listen to music with unparalleled clarity that matches the artist’s original vision from the studio.
