Porsche has recently introduced the latest iteration of its 992 generation 911. As part of the car’s mid-cycle refresh, it has gained revamped styling, improved aerodynamics and has gained a super-lightweight hybrid powertrain.
The German sports car maker has gotten rid of several of the nameplate’s iconic features, such as the analogue rev counter and the turnkey-style ignition switch, in favour of more modern equipment. Also dropped from the line-up is the option of a manual gearbox – all new 911s are PDK-only.

The new 911 Carrera GTS is the first street-legal 911 equipped with a super-lightweight performance hybrid. The newly developed, innovative powertrain system, with 3.6 litres of displacement, delivers significantly improved driving performance. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and can reach a top speed of 312 km/h.
Even the standard Carrera has been improved, with mild tweaks to its 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine resulting in power gains over the outgoing car. Porsche Singapore doesn’t currently have pricing for the new cars, and it will be announced when the cars are available locally!
