smart finally has a permanent home in Singapore. The revitalised German compact car manufacturer, now building cars in conjunction with the Geely group, also took advantage of the occasion to unveil its latest model locally, the all-new #3.

This is after months of roadshows, with the brand bringing their #1 to various heartland malls to spread the word about the new marque, whilst waiting for their showroom renovations to conclude.
The #3 is the second smart model to be officially imported into Singapore. It is built on the same platform as the #1, though it is marketed as an SUV coupe instead. As is the case with the #1, customers can buy their #3 in one of two variants.

There is the entry-level Pro+ version, and the more powerful BRABUS edition. Even if you decide on picking the sensible option, it is by no means a sluggish car; the Pro+ will do the century sprint in just 5.8 seconds. The BRABUS is quicker to 100km/h, doing the same sprint in 3.7 seconds.
The cars can charge at up to DC 150kW, which will yield a 10 – 80% charge time of under 30 minutes. However, there is a tradeoff for the greater power levels of the BRABUS – it has slightly less range (415 kilometres vs the 435 of the Pro+) than its lower power sibling.

Prices for the #3 start at $223,000 for the Pro+, with the BRABUS setting buyers back about $267,000. Do also note that the figures are accurate at the time of publishing.
