With the launch of the BYD Sealion 7, the Shenzhen-based automaker now has five models for customers to purchase in Singapore. This latest addition is slightly different to the cars that have come before it though.

The Sealion 7 is a full-sized, fully-electric SUV, designated as the flagship of the BYD range. Two variants are available in Singapore. There’s the Extended Range, which is Rear-Wheel Drive only, and comes with 230 kW. It is capable of 480 kilometres of range.

A Performance AWD version is also available, and it has 390 kW of power, and is, as its name suggests, all-wheel drive. Range does take a hit, though not by as much as you think – it’d still do 460 kilometres. Both cars have the same 82.5 kWh battery pack.

BYD has also dedicated some booth space to showcase its Yangwang U9 supercar. This 1,287 hp quad motor electric super car has some truly impressive mechanical statistics, including a 391 km/h top speed, and trick suspension/torque vectoring systems for optimal grip regardless of condition!
