Škoda has officially launched its first compact all-electric SUV, the Elroq. It sits below the Enyaq in the Czech automaker’s local line-up, and is the most affordable electric Škoda on sale in Singapore today.

Despite the smaller footprint, the Elroq actually has a very similar wheelbase to its larger Enyaq stablemate, meaning you’d still get generous amounts of interior room for your occupants. It doesn’t look anything like the Enyaq though, as it debuts the automaker’s new Modern Solid design language.
It loses the larger classic grille of the Škodas of old, replacing it with a sleek “Tech-Deck Face” with distinctive Matrix beam headlights. These, along with several other aerodynamic enhancements, have resulted in a low Cd, of just 0.26.

On the inside, Škoda has focused on sustainability through the use of recycled PET fabrics (RecyTitan) and ECONYL® fibres (TechnoFil). On the equipment front, you get a 13-inch infotainment display, 5-inch Digital Cockpit, wireless charging pad, and fast USB-C ports.
Powering the Elroq is a rear-mounted 150kW electric motor, which can propel this crossover to 100km/h from a standstill in just 8.0 seconds. Its 63 kWh can provide sufficient juice for it to travel up to 430 kilometres on a single charge, with a peak DC charge rate that’d enable it to go from 10 – 80% in just 24 minutes!
