A third Q-series e-tron model has officially joined Audi’s electric SUV line-up. The Q5-sized Q6 e-tron fills the gap between the entry-level Q4 e-tron SUV, and the recently refreshed and renamed Q8 e-tron SUV.
It is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform co-developed with Porsche, and has also been used by the Stuttgart-based automaker in the creation of their Macan Electric.
Two Variants Available at Launch

The PPE, in Q6 e-tron guise, comes with a 100 kWh battery pack, and a choice of two variants with differing power levels at launch. Both cars will come with all-wheel drive, though range-focused rear-wheel drive variants will join the lineup at a later date. Not that the launch cars lack range though – Audi expects the duo to be capable of up to 625 km on a single charge.
As for power, Audi says that the regular Q6 will have an output of 285 kW (375 bhp). Its racier SQ 6 twin has a combined 380 kW (509 bhp). This will allow a 0 – 100 km/h time of 5.9 and 4.3 seconds respectively.
The Latest EV Architecture

Other impressive features include its 800-volt architecture, as well as its maximum charging rate of 270 kW as standard. Expect up to 255 kilometres of range to be recharged in 10 minutes when recharged at the aforementioned rate. A 10 – 80% charge at 270 kW will be complete in just 21 minutes.
If a charging station works with 400‑volt technology, the Audi Q6 e-tron can, for the first time, enable bank charging. The 800‑volt battery is automatically divided into two batteries at equal voltage, which can then be charged in parallel with up to 135 kW. Depending on the state of charge, both halves of the battery are first equalised and then charged simultaneously. AC charging with up to 11 kW is possible at standard home chargers.

In terms of design, the Q6 e-tron embodies Audi’s SUV aesthetic with dynamic proportions. It has a distinctive front and a sleek rear, and also showcases the world’s first active digital light signature.
This technology isn’t solely for the sake of aesthetics – there are practical uses too, especially for safety. Inside, the Q6 e-tron boasts a user-centric design with a spacious, comfortable interior equipped with cutting-edge technology. You’ll find Audi’s latest MMI panoramic display, and the passengers will get their own display too.

No official word on the availability of the Audi Q6 e-tron for the Singapore market just yet, but the car will be made available for sale in select markets later this year.
