With recent social trends being focused towards eco-friendliness and sustainability, Motul Asia Pacific has been setting a path to become the most responsible lubricant brand all throughout Asia.

With that in mind, Motul has launched a month-long exhibition titled “Going Beyond The Barrel”. This installation will be on public display from 13 September to 10 October, with the showcase taking place at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, located at picturesque Marina Barrage.

The exhibition showcases discarded steel oil drums, which have been transformed into meaningful and purposeful creations. Motul Asia Pacific’s Chief Workforce Officer Miranda Lee describing it as “a powerful symbol of waste reduction and a champion of environmental consciousness.

This is the first step of Motul’s plan to transform the industry by embracing sustainability. The lubricant giant also seeks to instil consciousness not only within its own ranks, but also among its valued customers.

The installation aims to shed light on the metamorphosis of industrial waste into objects of beauty and significance. Artists have transformed oil drums into practical and innovative installations that defied expectations.

A noteworthy piece is Cheryl Chiw’,’s “The Insideout and Outsidein”, which shows how art showcasing sustainability and efficient utilisation of resources can be created even out of the most mundane and industrialised materials.

It is with this hope that Motul aims to go beyond conventional boundaries, daring to not only showcase their commitment at exhibitions like “Going Beyond The Barrel”, but also to manifest their dedication of providing innovative and sustainable solutions to consumers in the years to come.
