At the recent Singapore-Korea Business Forum, the Korean automaker announced a strategic partnership with NTU to deepen Singapore’s sustainable energy and manufacturing expertise.

The aforementioned partnership aims to further hydrogen energy and sustainable manufacturing technologies with the intention of contributing to carbon neutrality goals here, through the creation of localised alternative energy solutions.
Advanced hydrogen production is one of the key components of this partnership. HMG will use its pioneering Plastic-to-Hydrogen (P2H) and Waste-to-Hydrogen (W2H) technologies to convert waste into clean hydrogen fuel. On an industrial scale, this should reduce our country’s reliance on fossil fuels, as we embrace ever greater levels of sustainable energy.

Advancements in clean, renewable hydrogen fuel technology isn’t the only goal of this collaboration. HM, NTU and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) will also establish a Corporate Lab Program, which will focus on furthering our technological know-how in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and 3D printing.
This partnership not only highlights HMG’s commitment to advancing sustainable mobility solutions but also positions Singapore as a leader in the global transition to a greener future. Through this collaboration, HMG and NTU aim to address pressing global sustainability challenges while developing technologies that foster a sustainable future for Singapore, and beyond.
