A new Chery sub-brand will make its official debut in Singapore – but not at the Singapore Motorshow. It is where its appointed dealer, Vertex Automobile, has decided to break the news to the general public though.

To mark the occasion, iCAUR has brought along its V23 electric crossover. This retro-inspired SUV is one of the most striking and distinctive vehicles you will see on our roads, and the show car’s bright orange paintwork makes it even more distinctive. No news yet on powertrain and battery size options, but that should become clearer as we move towards the brand’s official launch in March this year.

Keep in mind that this technically isn’t the first time iCAUR has sold a car here – the popular Jaecoo J6 was actually conceived as an iCAUR product initially, though it was rebadged for export markets.
Alongside the Jaecoo J5 and Omoda O7 (which have been launched and will be available for sale soon), Vertex has also previewed the Jaecoo J8, an upcoming three row SUV with excellent all-round space and build. We sampled the PHEV version in China last year, but the show car here is a regular hybrid.

As with the V23 there’s no news yet on the exact powertrain specifications, but more will be revealed as we build towards its launch!
Here‘s how we got on with the Jaecoo J6!
